MyTuition ("we", "our", or "the app") is a tutor management application designed to help tutors organize and manage their students, classes, attendance, homework, revision, fees, reports, and related educational records.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains what information MyTuition handles, how it is used, and how third-party advertising services may process information.

By using MyTuition, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information You Enter Into MyTuition

MyTuition allows tutors to enter and manage information related to their tutoring activities.

Depending on the features you use, this may include:

• Tutor name and profile information
• Phone number and email address
• Student name
• Student photograph
• Date of birth and age
• Gender
• Parent or guardian name
• Student or parent phone numbers
• School and class/grade information

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate permission to enter and manage information about students, children, parents, guardians, or other individuals in the app.

2. How MyTuition Uses Your Information

Information entered into MyTuition is used to provide the app's features, including:

• Managing student records
• Managing classes
• Creating timetables
• Recording attendance
• Managing homework and revision
• Tracking student progress
• Managing fees and payments
• Creating student reports
• Creating PDF reports
• Sharing or exporting reports when you choose to do so
• Displaying information inside the app
• Providing backup and restore functionality
• Supporting account and recovery features

We do not use the student information you enter into MyTuition to provide personalized advertising.

3. Local Storage and App Data

MyTuition is designed to keep the educational and student information you enter within the app's data storage on your device, except where a feature or service you explicitly use requires information to leave the device.

For example, when you choose to share or export a report, Android's sharing functionality or another application selected by you may receive the exported file.

If you use the backup feature, the backup file is created for you so that you can store or transfer your MyTuition data according to your own choice.

You are responsible for keeping your device, backup files, and exported reports secure.

4. Student Photos

MyTuition allows tutors to add photographs to student profiles.

Student photographs are used for purposes such as:

• Displaying the student profile
• Identifying students within the app
• Including the student's photograph in applicable student reports and PDFs

We do not use student photographs for advertising.

You should only upload photographs when you have the appropriate permission to do so.

5. Advertising

MyTuition uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

Advertisements may include:

• Banner advertisements
• Native advertisements
• Rewarded video advertisements

Some advertisements may be shown after a user voluntarily chooses an action that triggers a rewarded advertisement.

Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect certain information for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, and service performance. This may include information such as:

• IP address
• Device or account identifiers
• Advertising identifier
• App interactions
• Ad interactions and video views
• Diagnostic and performance information

6. Personalized Advertising

Depending on Google's advertising services, device settings, applicable laws, and available privacy controls, advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized.

Google provides controls and mechanisms for managing advertising and data-processing preferences. Android users can also manage advertising-related settings through their device.

7. Third-Party Services

MyTuition may use third-party services that are necessary for certain app functionality.

Currently, advertising is provided through Google AdMob.

Third-party services may process certain technical information according to their own privacy policies.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of third-party services used by the app.

8. Sharing and Exporting Information

MyTuition provides features that allow you to share or export student reports and other information.

When you choose to use these features, information contained in the exported file may be shared with the application, person, or service you select through Android's sharing system.

For example, you may choose to share a generated PDF through a messaging application, email application, cloud storage service, or another application installed on your device.

Once you share a file outside MyTuition, the receiving application or service is responsible for its own handling of that information.

9. Backup and Restore

MyTuition may provide backup and restore functionality so that you can create a backup of your app data and restore it later.

Backups may contain information such as:

• Students
• Student photographs
• Classes
• Timetable information
• Attendance
• Homework
• Revision
• Tasks or other app records where applicable
• Fees and payments
• Progress
• Tutor information
• Other MyTuition data

You are responsible for storing backup files securely and preventing unauthorized access to them.

10. Account Security

MyTuition may use account passwords and recovery mechanisms to protect access to the app.

Passwords are not intended to be displayed in plain text.

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password confidential
• Protecting access to your device
• Protecting your backup files
• Protecting recovery information
• Preventing unauthorized access to your account

11. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by MyTuition.

However, no electronic storage system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You should therefore keep your device protected with an appropriate screen lock and maintain secure copies of important backup files.

12. Children's Privacy

MyTuition is intended for tutors and educational professionals/individuals managing tutoring activities. It is not designed as a standalone service for children to create accounts or independently use the service.

The app may allow tutors to enter information about students, including students who may be minors.

Tutors and other users are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary legal authority or parental/guardian permission, where required, before entering children's personal information or photographs into the app.

We do not knowingly use children's student information for personalized advertising.

13. Data Retention and Deletion

Information entered into MyTuition may remain on your device until you:

• Delete individual records
• Delete students
• Remove app data
• Uninstall the application
• Restore or replace data using the app's available features

If you create exported reports or backup files, those files may continue to exist outside the app until you delete them from the location where they were saved.

Because exported and backup files may be stored outside MyTuition, you are responsible for deleting those files when they are no longer needed.

14. Internet Connectivity

Some MyTuition features, including advertisements and certain third-party services, may require an internet connection.

Core information stored locally on your device may remain accessible without an internet connection, depending on the feature being used.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to MyTuition, advertising services, legal requirements, or other operational changes.

When changes are made, the updated Privacy Policy will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.

16. Your Responsibility

If you use MyTuition to manage student information, you are responsible for:

• Entering accurate information
• Obtaining appropriate permission to collect student information
• Obtaining appropriate permission to use student photographs
• Protecting student information
• Protecting passwords and recovery information
• Securing backup files
• Ensuring that exported reports are shared only with appropriate recipients
